Several times it has been pointed out to me that more women catch taxi’s then men and that if a bloke and a girl catch a cab together, 8 times out of 10, the lady will pay for the taxi. These claims to be verified of course but they got me thinking - Would a ‘Women Only’ taxi service work in PNG, especially in the nations taxi capital, Port Moresby?
Doing an internet search on the topic, yield a surprising find, ‘Women Only’ taxi services not only work, but are quiet successful in other countries.
