Ela Motors have announced the introduction of 3 new models into the Hino range for Papua New Guinea.
The new models replace the successful Dyna range of light trucks.
This model range covers the critical payload options within the Light Truck market and is priced as follows:
Hino 300 GVM 7,500 (payload 4100kg) K102,900
Hino 300 GVM 6,500 (payload 3300kg) K99,300
Hino 300 GVM 5,500 (payload 2500kg) K94,700
“The Hino brand is well respected around the world for its quality, durability and investment in technology” said David Purcell CEO/Director Ela Motors “We are very pleased to have these models available to us and the ability to extend our model range for Hino and cover all sectors from Heavy through to Light Truck options offers significant benefits to our customers”
One of the key benefits is projected to be the financial impact on a business of being able to commonise their fleet. This offers savings in terms of training, parts inventory, service support and the like. Fleet operators are also able to negotiate better deals and have a single point of contact which offers additional benefits in time and money.
Another international trend is for fleet companies to keep their fleets longer in order to drive more return on each unit. The long term reliability and durability of the Hino range makes this goal viable for truck and fleet owners in PNG and again offers very real benefits to the Hino customer.
In 2008 the light truck market was 861 units with the major volume concentrated in the 2,600kg to 3,500kg payload sector. This offers great opportunity for Hino with two models operating in this sector offering customers a real choice for their trucking needs. The existing Hino range of Medium (500 series) and Heavy (700 series) trucks are proven market leaders and have demonstrated their suitability to meet all the demands of operating in the harsh PNG conditions. It is this performance and durability that flows into the new 300 series.
“With the investment programmes throughout PNG over the next few years we see real growth potential in this sector and with Hino’s impressive performance for our fleet and small business customers with the 700 and 500 series trucks we are confident that the 300 which offers excellent value for money will soon become a major player in the market” concluded David Purcell.
